many ideas succeed or fail based on three things: idea, timing, and execution. chubby like so many others are victims of poor execution. a “PIY” open platform is yet to be successfully created. perhaps an android based chubby-like device would succeed?

Not to mention that the latest iteration of the harware (the Chumby One) looks just like you standard bedside alarm clock, and a pretty ugly one at that. So, they are also dropping the very thing that makes people take a closer look at Chumby.
