I was just browsing a few old emails looking for something, and came across a couple of the very first emails I exchanged about heading over to california to work on Edgeio and Techcrunch. I found this great paragraph from Michael Arrington to me, which was inspiring then, and is still inspiring now over 5 years later:>With regard to your last questions: shame on you. You claim to have read Purple Cow. Have you? You’re our maverick. Fuck customer research, it is impossible. It would have told ebay that online classifieds were a dumb idea and Google that the search space was overcrowded. Customer research produces bland products. We’re producing a piece of art.
